Butchering a Grass-fed vs Grain-fed Beef

 

Seth and Scott Perkins, also known as the Bearded Butchers at White Feather meats in Ohio, make some of the best videos available showing processing and butchering examples and skills.

In this 45-minute video they explain things like hang-weight, the dry aging process, and the differences between grass and grain-fed beef. They also explain the different cuts of meat that come from a half beef.

At DSR Cattle we only grow grass-fed, naturally raised beef for the rich taste it produces, and the health benefits it provides. We feel our cattle finish best on an all-natural diet. However, we do think understanding the differences is important.
